What should I watch out for on the Arduino Uno R3?
Only pins marked ~ (3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11) support analogWrite PWM. Pins 0/1 are shared with USB serial — disconnect things on them while uploading. Max 20 mA recommended per pin (40 mA absolute), 200 mA total. Only pins 2 and 3 support attachInterrupt on the Uno.
Is the Arduino Uno R3 5 V tolerant?
5 V logic. Many modern sensors are 3.3 V, so check before connecting them.
