What should I watch out for on the ESP32 DevKit V1?
ADC2 pins (GPIO 0, 2, 4, 12-15, 25-27) cannot read analog while Wi-Fi is on. Use ADC1 (GPIO 32-39). GPIO 6-11 are wired to the internal flash. Never use them. GPIO 34-39 are input only and have no internal pull-ups. GPIO 12 must be LOW at boot or the flash voltage is wrong and it will not boot. Max ~40 mA per pin; use a transistor or driver for motors and relays.
Is the ESP32 DevKit V1 5 V tolerant?
No. It uses 3.3 V logic. Putting 5 V on a GPIO pin can damage it; use a voltage divider or level shifter.
