What is Ohm's law?
V = I × R. Voltage (volts) equals current (amps) times resistance (ohms). Power is P = V × I.
Why does power matter?
Common through-hole resistors are rated ¼ W (0.25 W). If your result is above that, use a ½ W or larger resistor or it can overheat.
Can I type values like 4k7?
Yes. 4k7 = 4.7 kΩ, 2.2k = 2200 Ω and 1M = 1 MΩ, the same way they are printed on schematics.
